How to install a coupling
When mounting a COUPLING to a shaft, please select one of the following depending on the application:
C Type: Clamp Bolting Method, S Type: Set Screw Bolting Method, CS Type: Clamping Screw & Set Screw Mixed Method.
The clamping screw method is a method of tightening the shaft by tightening the bolts that pass through the side of the coupling hub.
The clamping screw method has a structure that does not cause damage to the shaft surface and is easy to install/disassemble.
The set screw method is the most common method of fixing by inserting a bolt perpendicular to the coupling hub axis and directly tightening the surface of the axis.
It is recommended to select this method when the axis to which the coupling is mounted has a SLICE CUTTING or is mounted on a KEY machined axis.
Since the end of the BOLT directly touches the axis, the axis may be damaged or difficult to disassemble, so please be careful.
This is a fastening method that uses a clamping screw method on one side and a set screw method on the other side.
It is a structure that can easily connect a shaft with a key way or SLICE CUTTING on a step motor, etc., and a machined end such as a ball screw.
